«Studio»
Young Artists Exhibition

December 15 - 29
Ural Branch of the National Center for Contemporary Arts

The «Studio» residence program was launched in the summer of 2011 at the site of UB NCCA. Young artists are provided with free rooms at a workshop for the implementation of art projects ranging from 2 weeks to 2 months. All results of these projects will be shown under the same title in the space of the exhibition hall of UB NCCA.

«Studio» is, fundamentally, a non-curatorial project which allows viewers to look at the artistic activity surrounding UB NCCA. Participants in the final exhibition will include the artists who worked in NCCA’s «Studio» residence program, as well as the students of elective course «ArtPreparation» (an educational program in the field of contemporary art with the Art and Graphics Department of NTSPI).

Young artists will demonstrate the capabilities of various techniques and genres of contemporary art, approaches to the search of the expressive language, experiences and experiments, which are an integral part of the educational and work processes. Artists are not limited to any topic or curatorial vision. Tasks are different – they are to give artists, including beginners, an opportunity to work and to show to viewers both the process and the outcome of this work.

«Studio» is one more reason to act!

«Studio» program coordinators – Vladimir Seleznev, Irina Kudryavtseva.

Artists – Vitalic, Tatiana Gusel'nikova, Julia Klimovskikh, Eugene Komuhin, Victor Koryakin, Anna Mineeva, Denis Perevalov, Slava PTRK, Vladimir Seleznev, Ivan Snigirev, Svetlana Spirina, Igor Tatarnikov (Sodazot), Dasha Shevyrenkova, Karina Yudina, Bubb, Radya.

The opening – December 15 at 6.30 p.m.
